Lisa has been a literacy educator for over 15 years and specializes in teaching foundational literacy skills to all age groups. As a Reading Specialist, she values her student's voice and works with them to build confidence and pride in their abilities. Lisa is very patient and puts her students at ease with her calm and caring demeanor. She loves pulling from her student's own lives to create literacy experiences that are authentic and help students build connections. She excels in Reading Comprehension, Writing Organization, Phonics, Reading Fluency and Executive Functioning.

Lisa is a lover of words. She is an avid reader and has been writing since she was eight. Writing is where she feels completely free and connected. In her spare time, Lisa and her husband bike through NYC and the surrounding areas. She is expecting her first child and can't wait to share all of her passions with her baby.
